Xtreme Cardio Team Needs A Gym
Xtreme Cardio Team of Lancaster, California needs your help. The team needs a gym (or in-door arena) to practice in so that they can continue to bring home winning medals for Antelope Valley. The team participates and have placed (brought home medals/ribbons) from AAU Junior Olympics and USA Jump Rope National Championship.
If you have or know of a large space available for the team to use two hours once per week to practice full team routines, please reply on the comment below. Thank you for your consideration to help Antelope Valley kids develop a healthy lifestyle by using jump rope. Kids who jump rope develop physical and mental toughness. Jump roping for 10 minues has been compared to running a mile. Check out video below of a work shop practice session.

The Treasure Box is a pre-assembled box packed with $75 – $100 worth of delicious, high quality frozen food offered to individuals and families for just $30 per box. Each box weighs between 21-25 lbs. and contains 10-12 lbs. of protein, fruit, and vegetables, a side dish and dessert, all for only $30.
Toys for Tots 5K Run

On Saturday, November 28, 2009 the 4th Annual Toys for Tots Holiday 5K Run and Tots 1K Challengs hits the streets of Lancaster! The Edwards Air Force Base – Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program welcomes you to take part in this fun, family-friendly morning event featuring pre- and post-race festivities as well great opportunity for individuals of all ages and abilities to come out and enjoy a holiday trot in the Antelope Valley.
There are 5k run and 10k runs and the 1K Tot Challenge, just for kids! This 1k dash is perfect for kids 10 years of age and under!
You can save $5.00 for the event, if you mail your entry, postmarked, by Friday, November 21st! Who doesn’t like to save some money?!
You can also enter on race day with registration beginning at 7:15 AM at Lancaster City Park.

The Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program encourages all participants to try and bring an unwrapped toy to the race. With today’s economy, your donation and contribution can make a huge difference in a young individual’s life. All proceeds and donations of this race go directly to the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program and redistributed to the benefit of those in our local community.
